Island Oktoberfest: October 26-27

It’s time again for fall to approach, and you know what that means! Island Oktoberfest in Galveston is upon us, and it’s looking like it’s going to be a fantastic celebration this year. If you’re looking to have a great time celebrating autumn in the Galveston area, you simply can’t miss out on the community celebration at First Luther Church of Galveston on October 26 and 27. This is the 37th annual celebration of Oktoberfest, and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

For those who love beer, there aren’t many events more fitting to attend than this one. There will be 64 different beer taps on site, an informative class where you can interact with a professional brewer, a wine tasting event for those who prefer wine, and tons of live entertainment. In fact, there will be three different stages featuring a variety of live music, so there’s a little something for everybody to enjoy, including some seriously good eats.

Why not start your holiday shopping early at Island Oktoberfest? The vendor showcase inside of the Lyceum is open from 5PM to 9PM on Friday and 11AM to 7PM on Saturday. There will be hand crafted, totally unique items for sale by local vendors, and many are related to German culture. Whether you’re looking for a suitable gift for a special someone or you simply want to treat yourself, you will have many opportunities to do so inside of the vendor market.

So, don’t miss out! The event runs on Friday from 5PM to 11PM, and 11AM to 11PM on Saturday. Remember, it’s important to consume alcohol responsibly, and that means planning ahead of time about your ride home if you plan on drinking. Booking with a company such as Limo Bus Houston allows you to travel comfortable and most importantly, safely with a group of passengers. It takes a lot off of your plate when you’ve taken the responsibility of transportation off of your list.
